Watercolour artwork showing the Star Ferry Pier and surrounding buildings along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront in Kowloon one sunny late afternoon. While the view towards Hong Kong Island has the more famous cityscape scene, this opposite view (T.S.T. for short) has some equally iconic buildings, such as the Former Kowloon Railway Clock Tower, the ski ramp shaped Cultural Center, the Peninsula Hotel and, now that height restrictions have been lifted, also some of the newest tall towers such as the K11 developments.

Originally painted on watercolor paper and then scanned at high resolution & professionally printed with 'Archival Ink' on Espon Enhanced bright white 192gsm matte paper. 

  • A5 Size: 18cm x 13cm. + 1 cm white border all sides
  • Printed with Archival Ink on Epson Enhanced Matte 192 gsm Paper*. Thickness 10.3 mil, ISO Brightness 104% Opacity 94%. 
  • All prints fit standard IKEA frame sizes 

*Enhanced Matte Inkjet Paper is a bright white paper with a matte finish. The paper yields highly saturated images, while maintaining highlight and shadow detail. Enhanced Matte is designed for use with Achival Ink. 

 

Bio of Richard Marc Crosbie:

Richard is a Product Designer originally from South Wales, UK and has been living in Hong Kong for the past 25 years, working as a Toy designer.  He has recently began expanding his capabilities to include sketching and painting where he draws inspiration from our home city and local cultural surroundings.  He enjoys exploring a range of media including pens, inks, pastels & watercolours and practices both plain air urban sketching done on site and working on longer studies In the studio.  His aim to to capture the reality of life in this amazing city across different scales, from both cityscapes to the more personal individual figure.
